After only 6 months and maybe 5 times being used, this air bed doesnt hold air any more to last through the night. Its basically useless if you cant sleep on it with out becoming a human airbed burrito in the middle of the night.

I purchased this air mattress because my parents were going to visit, and they found our full-sized Aerobed to be both too small, and too difficult to get out of. I have had a lot of experience with Aerobeds and was a bit nervous about purchasing another brand, but I wanted to get them the taller bed, and this one was much more affordable.
I'm writing this review after one visit, which means the bed has been used for two nights, by two people.
First of all, the process of inflating the bed was rather confusing. The pump comes with detailed and oddly worded instructions, but those instructions have nothing to do with the bed. In fact, reading the instructions proved a detriment since they were clearly written for a different product.
To inflate the bed, you have to inflate two chambers. I'm not sure if there's an optimal order in which to inflate them since the instructions were apparently for a couch with a very different valve system. One chamber is at the bottom, and seems to run around the outside of the bed. I'm guessing this is to stabilize the bed. The other chamber (much larger) is located above the first, and is the bed itself. I'm pretty sure I inflated them in both orders when I was setting the bed up, and I didn't notice a difference one way or the other.
To inflate the bed, you simply stick the "inflate" end of the pump into the appropriate valve and turn it on. I did this multiple times before using the bed...just in case the instructions were right about that part.
Now, to deflate the bed, all you have to do is open the valve cap, and stick your finger in, pushing a little flap aside. Seriously, that's it. The instructions have all kinds of nonsense about using the pump to deflate the bed (or rather, couch) but try as I might, I couldn't get that to work. Once I figured out I could deflate the bed without the pump, I was a much happier person.
My biggest concern about this taller bed was that it would be difficult to sleep on the edge. I had images of my poor parents being evicted from the bed, and falling two feet to the floor! To be sure, I tested the bed before they arrived, and it was surprisingly stable.
My parents were thrilled when they arrived (my mom thought she would have to sleep on the couch?!?) and even the next morning, they were happy with the bed.
Now, be aware that this bed has the same problems I've encountered with all air mattresses. Air mattresses are cold, no two ways around it. This air mattress has a fuzzy top to it, but that didn't help with the coldness of the mattress. (If you think about it, there's no way a bag of air is going to hold in warmth like a pile of foam.) We fixed this problem by spreading a sleeping bag over the bed, and under the bottom sheet for the second night of my parents' visit.
The bigger problem that all air mattresses encounter is that they deflate somewhat in the course of the night. I've never known an air mattress to retain all of its air over night, but still, I'm a bit concerned. I know in the past with Aerobeds, my parents have had to add air in little spurts in the middle of the night to keep the mattress firm. This would be extremely difficult to do with this bed since the pump is a completely separate entity. In order to add air over night, you would have to get out of bed, plug in the pump, open the valve, insert the pump and turn it on. And, heed the reviews that say the pump is loud, because it is! So, if this deflating problem gets worse, the bed will be far less useful.
Still, so far, my parents are very happy with the bed, and now that I've figured out how to use the pump (and deflate the bed without it) I'm happy too. I'll check back to let you know when/if it becomes unusable because of the overnight deflating.

Bought this air mattress mainly for camping but ended up using it on an overnight stay at a friends house. Was amazed on how big it gets. Was not impressed with the air pump since it's only usable if plugged into the wall (not very handy if you are camping). We will just have to buy another pump. Overall very impressed.
